This policy describes cookies and similar technologies used or planned for Vegetable Dips. The actual consent interface and cookie scan must be configured before non-essential analytics or advertising technologies are enabled for visitors where consent is required.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, and software identifiers. They can support essential functions, remember choices, measure use, or enable advertising.
2. Categories
- Strictly necessary: security, network delivery, administrator sessions, consent records, and essential website functions. These cannot normally be disabled through the consent tool.
- Analytics: Google Analytics may measure visits, pages, devices, referrals, and interactions. These technologies are treated as non-essential and require prior consent where applicable.
- Functional: optional preferences or enhanced features, if introduced.
- Advertising: Google AdSense or affiliate-advertising technologies may be introduced later. They must remain inactive until the policy, vendor list, and consent controls are updated.
3. Consent and control
Where required, non-essential technologies should be blocked until the visitor makes an affirmative choice. Rejecting non-essential cookies must be as accessible as accepting them. Consent can be withdrawn or changed through the site’s privacy or cookie settings once the consent-management platform is deployed.
4. Google services
Google Analytics is used or intended for audience measurement. Google may process identifiers and usage information under its own terms and privacy documentation. AdSense is planned for the future but is not described here as active. If Google advertising is enabled for users in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a Google-certified consent-management platform and applicable vendor disclosures must be implemented.
5. Duration
Some cookies expire when the browser closes; others persist for a configured period. Exact names and durations can change with provider configuration. The consent interface should provide a current, scan-based list before non-essential cookies are activated.
6. Browser controls
Browsers allow cookies to be deleted or blocked. Blocking necessary technologies may impair site functions. Browser controls do not always replace a legally required consent choice.
7. Global Privacy Control
Where applicable law requires recognition of an opt-out preference signal, the site should honor Global Privacy Control after the corresponding technical mechanism is configured. Visitors may also submit a request through Privacy Choices.
8. Updates and contact
This policy will be updated when providers or purposes change. Questions can be sent to contact@vegetabledips.com.
